All
the cars lined up for the wingless feature and as the green flag
flew Ray had the lead before the end of the first lap. He never
looked back despite a late charge from Steve Lenig on the last few
laps. Ray's car started to get pretty hot and slow down, but he
kept it in front to take his first victory of the 2004 season.

Ray
started 12th in this winged feature and quickly headed toward the
front. He had to battle Steve Craig, Tracy Miller & Ed Stimely
to get up to the front. While he was working his way through the
field Mike Miller to charge and gained a lot of distance on the
rest of the cars. Ray finally got into second and Ray gave Mike
Miller one heck of a run for his money. At the end of the 20 laps
it was Mike Miller, Ray and then Don Trent. What a great night.

Saturday,
the team got really busy on the car and got it straigtened out.
Ray started 17th in the A-Main and after the first few laps he made
a hard charge for the front by about half way he was in 4th and
looked for 3rd. He looked really fast. Then as the laps went on
he seemed to fade a little and he lost about 2 spots on the last
laps to end up 10th.

With
Bull waiting in the wings, he took the lead on lap 5. Bull pulled
away from the field for a few laps, and then Buckwalter began to
real him in. Buckwalter took second place away from his car owner
Mike Miller on lap 15. Inching ever closer to Bull, Buckwalter would
be denied when a lapped car took his line. It is too close
not to win it, said Buckwalter who was disappointed with the
evenings events.

Ray
Started 7th in the Feature and apparantly Tom Hessert (I believe)
Spun in front of him and he had no where to go and hit him head
on. He then went to the rear of the field and restarted. The track
was very rough and rutty and he only could get back up to 15th.

Ray
raced from 7th to 3rd in his heat to qualify for the A Main. After
a good start Ray was among the leaders. Under yellow about halfway,
Ray was forced to retire the car because he lost a bolt in the front
axle which would allow him to turn the car anymore. He was very
fast and had a very good shot at the win until the mechanical failure.

Bull traveled to Bridgeport Speedway on Tuesday night to claim feature
honors. Bull led 18 laps in the 25 lap wingless event on the 1/4
mile oval. Bull started his quest in the tenth place starting position
and passed rookie teammate Dave Shirk for the lead on lap 7. This
marks Bull's sixth feature win of the season. In his first appearance
at Bridgeport Speedway , Bull was impressed with the tracks shape
and condition. 'It was pretty good, you could run the top and bottom,'
said Bull who spent a few laps hovering around the center trying
to stay out of trouble on the small track.Prior to the feature Bull
found the track to his liking and was able to travel a preferred
line as many.

On
the first lap a couple of cars got together ahead of him in turn
#2 but he was able to get passed them without a scratch. He then
began his charge to the front. By lap 6 he had taken over the lead
from Ed Stimely and began to gain some distance from him. Around
lap 12 or 13 he ran it in a little high and tagged the wall in turns
3&4. You could hear the entire grandstand go "uuhhh"
but he bounced off then wall like a bullet and kept the lead even
though Eddie caught right up to him. He then led the remaining laps
to take the 30 lap main event.

For
20 consecutive laps, the ARDC Midget contenders delivered a fast-paced,
heart-pounding race. Four cars, including Trent, Miller, Lenig and
ARDC Drivers Champion Ray Bull were battling for the lead when the
caution flew for Miller. Miller's car spun in turn 4 bringing out
the first and only caution of the 25-lap feature. Back under green
flag conditions Don Trent floored his No. 18 entry with the intention
of out-running Bull and maintaining the lead on the restart.
Ray Bull concluded the season with a runner-up feature finish. He
clenched his fifth consecutive ARDC Drivers Championship at Little
Valley Speedway earlier in September. His Mega Motorsports team
would also earn their second consecutive Owners Championship title
in 2004.
Both the No. 18 of Trent and Mega Motorsports car No. 22 were teched
by an independent source. Both cars were found to be legal. (copy
