19 Lincoln Speedway - Practice Laps for Opening Night

1 Lincoln
Speedway - Opening night! Ray wins wingless and finishes 2nd with the
wing!
May
21 Dixieland
Speedway - Ray wins both winged and wingless features!
June 12 New Egypt Speedway - With
Bull waiting in the wings, he took the lead on lap 5. Bull pulled
away from the field for a few laps, and then Buckwalter began
to real him in. Ray went on to win the race.
June 27 Grandview Speedway - After
a good start Ray was among the leaders. Under yellow about halfway,
Ray was forced to retire the car because he lost a bolt in the
front axle which would allow him to turn the car anymore. He
was very fast and had a very good shot at the win until the
mechanical failure.
June 29 Bridgeport Speedway - Bull
led 18 laps in the 25 lap wingless event on the 1/4 mile oval.
Bull started his quest in the tenth place starting position
and passed rookie teammate Dave Shirk for the lead on lap 7.
Then went on to win the event.
July 9
PennCan Speedway - Ray started
12th in the feature and was running 6th when he hit a spun out
Donnie Trent in turns 3&4 and was unable to continue.

29 Reading
Racefest - Ray and the team enjoy visiting with friends and
fans at the popular Reading event.
August
27 Linda's
Speedway -By lap 6 Ray had taken over the lead from Ed Stimely
and began to gain some distance from him. Around lap 12 or 13
he ran it in a little high and tagged the wall in turns 3&4.
You could hear the entire grandstand go "uuhhh" but
he bounced off then wall like a bullet and kept the lead even
though Eddie caught right up to him. He then led the remaining
laps to take the 30 lap main event.
September
25 Trail-way
Speedway - Four cars, including Trent, Miller, Lenig and ARDC
Drivers Champion Ray Bull were battling for the lead when the
caution flew for Miller. Miller's car spun in turn 4 bringing
out the first and only caution of the 25-lap feature. Back under
green flag conditions Don Trent floored his No. 18 entry with
the intention of out-running Bull and maintaining the lead on
the restart. Ray Bull concluded the season with a runner-up
feature finish.
